What we store
- Your posts, their fingerprints, and their dates. Listed posts are public once they open. Private posts are visible to anyone with the link.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, name, and email address, and the handle you choose. Your email is never shown publicly.
- Reminder emails: the address you give us, used once to tell you a post opened.
- A one-way hash of your IP address, used to limit spam and count reports. We don’t store the IP address itself.
Cookies
We set one cookie to keep you signed in, and a short-lived one during Google sign-in. Cloudflare Turnstile, our spam check, may set its own. If we show ads, Google may use cookies to serve them. You can learn more at Google’s ad policies.
Services we use
Cloudflare (hosting, database, spam checks), Google (sign-in, and ads if shown), Resend (reminder emails), and OpenTimestamps (Bitcoin timestamps). OpenTimestamps receives only fingerprints, never your text.
Permanence
Posts are designed to be permanent, and fingerprints are recorded in the Bitcoin blockchain, which nobody can erase. A fingerprint alone reveals nothing about the text. If you need a post removed for legal reasons, contact us and we’ll remove its text while keeping the fingerprint placeholder.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account in Settings. We delete your account details and sessions, and your posts stay under a random anonymous name.
